Booking page or link-in-bio page?
They solve different problems. One points people somewhere. The other takes the request, prices it, and gets paid.

Both live in your social bio and both are one link. That is where the similarity ends. A link-in-bio page is a menu of links: your latest post, your shop, your other profiles, a way to send people somewhere with one tap. A booking page is a single page built to do one job: turn a stranger into a priced, confirmed, paid booking. Picking between them is really a question of what happens after someone taps the link.
What a link-in-bio page is actually good at
If your problem is that a social bio only allows one link and you have five things to point people at, a link-in-bio page solves that cleanly. It is cheap, quick to set up, and asks nothing of the visitor beyond a tap.
It is also the right call if you are not taking bookings at all yet: you are building an audience, sending people to a shop you do not run, or just consolidating profiles. Do not add booking machinery you do not need yet.
Where it stops helping
A link-in-bio page has no memory of who visited or what they wanted. Someone taps through, likes what they see, and then has to message you to ask a price, which puts you straight back into typing the same questions in your DMs.
It cannot hold a date, cannot produce a written offer, and cannot take a payment. Those three things are what actually stop an interested stranger from disappearing, and a list of links does not do any of them.
What a booking page adds
A booking page asks the questions up front: the date, the scope, the details you need to price the job. The visitor answers once instead of you typing the same three questions into every DM.
From there it can produce an actual offer, hold the date against a payment, and keep the whole thing on record. That is the difference between a page that sends someone into a conversation and a page that finishes the conversation for you.
How to decide
If you are early, mostly booking people who already know you, or not selling a bookable service at all, a link-in-bio page is genuinely the simpler and cheaper right answer. Do not overbuild.
Once you are fielding enquiries from strangers and typing the same price into the same DM for the fifth time this week, that is the sign the request needs somewhere to land that does more than point.
- Can I use both at the same time?
- Yes. A common setup is a link-in-bio page that lists your links, with one of them pointing to the booking page. They are not mutually exclusive, they do different jobs.
- Is a link-in-bio page enough if I only get a few enquiries a month?
- It can be. If the volume is low and you do not mind typing prices by hand, the cost of adding a booking page may not be worth it yet. Revisit this once the DMs start repeating.
- Does a booking page replace my social profiles?
- No. It replaces the step after someone finds you, not the finding itself. You still need people to arrive from somewhere, usually social.
- Which one looks more professional?
- Neither is inherently more professional. What reads as professional is whether the page matches what you are actually asking someone to do: browse, or book.
